Applied Behavioral Analysis and Behavioral Training
Behavioural training is a set of training to form or reduce an individual’s certain behaviour. Different type of ABA techniques such as Natural Environmental Training, Shaping, Prompting and more will be used during the training session. Throughout the behavioural training, children will improve in their language & communication skills, motor skills, social & emotion and self-help skills.
We are targeting children who are having: Behavioural issues – Bad habits, focus attention problem Emotional issues – Insecurity, over-dependent Forming a new skill – Improving in academic or curriculum
What is behaviour? Anything that involves movement, interaction with the environment, can be perform by living organism, observable and measurable will be known as a behaviour.
How does behaviour training help? Conduct preferences assessment to find out the reinforcement for individual Come out a behaviour intervention plan regarding target behaviour & replacement behaviour Based on the behaviour that need to shape/ enhance or reduce Teacher Teaching & Implementation by using ABA techniques Monitoring & Evaluation the session Plan revision to ensure the behaviour are able to apply in daily life
How long should I do for behavioural training? It will be depending on the individual’s aim. We will come out a customized training plan according to the target behaviour and child’s ability to learn the behaviour. Once the children are get used to the behaviour, they will adopt and able to use it in their daily life.
How many times should I come for behavioural training? Twice a week will be suggested to undergoing behavioural training. This is because behaviour need to be learned consistency and repeatedly.
Who will be conducted the behavioral training? Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) in our centre will conduct the behavioral training. RBT is a paraprofessional certification in behaviour analysis. They assist in delivering behaviour analysis services and practice under the direction and close supervision of BCaBA or BCBA. In New Mind, our unique brain health focused approach will offer the behavioral training along with other intervention such as Clinical Neurofeedback training etc.
