牺牲睡眠,无伤大雅?

或许对于现时代的年轻一族来说,睡得少一些,根本就是微不足道、对生活毫无影响的日常小事。一旦忙碌起来时,心中所思所想的就是:“要做的事那么多,睡眠时间占据了24小时中的三分之一的话,似乎有种浪费的感觉?”想要拥有更多的时间,做更多的事,大家往往就决定牺牲一部分睡眠时间,结果就妥妥地,可以更有效率地办事了?

事与愿违,神经科学家早在很久以前就发现睡眠可直接影响工作或学习效率,主要是因为在睡觉时,大脑会修复受损的神经细胞和组织,大脑在白天时刻运作时积累下来的代谢废物此时将被运走。因此,缺乏睡眠,可直接影响注意力和执行力,如此一来学习和工作都不可能会多好、多理想。

大家需知道的是,正常的睡眠有助于记忆稳定,让白天十分所接收到的讯息得到完善的整合,大脑的注意力、思考力才会得到拓展;清晰的大脑同时延伸出警惕性、推理力、解决能力等。另外,更长远的效益就是可以延缓认知功能的老化,失智问题或许就不会在老年时期降临。因此,无论是为了当下或是未来,保持充裕的睡眠,始终是极致重要的。

人的一生如果活到八十五岁,他就花了二十五万个小时/一万天在睡眠上!建构在这一惊人的数字上,再引一句专家的话让大家想一想——睡眠研究的先驱、芝加哥大学的Alan Rechtschaffen教授说道:“如果睡眠不是有那么关键性的功能,它就是演化犯的最大错误。”不知大家觉得可有道理不?
