睡到一半突然往下坠?或许是因为你的大脑……

相信不少的人有过这样的经验,趴在桌上午休,刚入睡没多久,身体就突然“剉”一下而惊醒;或是在床上睡觉,才躺下一会儿,身体竟不自觉得大力抽动一下,就此惊醒。究竟是什么原因,造成睡觉时肢体此类型的抖动呢?

关于这个身体秘密,有专家认为是所谓的临睡肌跃症(hypnagogic myoclonic jerk),就是刚入睡时身体猛然一抖,而且通常会伴随着一种跌落或踏空的感觉。这个生理性不自主动作的发生,就是大脑误以为坠入梦乡的讯息是真的要“坠入”哪儿,大脑的反应就是把绷紧肌肉重新取得平衡,所以会导致身体突然剧烈晃动一下,甚至惊醒,通常出现在比较劳累或精神压力大的时候。

此外,想睡觉时,脑中会分泌许多血清张素;此种神经传递物,与睡眠、记忆有很大关系。有些人做梦常梦到走楼梯一脚踩空,通常是刚入睡时会做这个梦,其实这就是肌肉突然放松之故。

另一说法是,当进入睡眠状态时,大脑皮层就会抑制四肢肌肉的活动,但是这时候肌肉神经会有一些自发的运动,加上睡眠状态时,人体内的血液循环较慢,小小的肌肉神经运动会表现得更加明显。偶尔发生是属于正常现象,别太在意,但若过于频繁就该去看医生。
